  1. Be devoted to Christ with your affections while still outward focused in your friendships.
  2. Be focused on what is truly good for others, not what is simply permissible.
  3. Be free of legalism, but guided by conscience.
  4. Be faithful in using your freedom for God's glory.
  5. Be an example of Christ for others to imitate.

Sidestepping the Landmines of Spiritual Pride

1 Corinthians 10:1-13

  1. Don't dabble with idolatry.
  2. Don't test the Lord.
  3. Don't let freedom lead to engaging immorality.
  4. Don't begin to grumble.
  5. Don't let your spiritual guard down.
  6. Don't believe that temptation has ultimate power over you.

Run To Win

1 Corinthians 9:24-27

  1. Eternal life hangs on the way we run.
  2. We run to obtain because we have been obtained.
  3. Our running is on the basis of what God did on our behalf.
  4. How do we run?
    • Run like a winner.
    • Give it all you got.
    • Run with self-control.

Pleasing God With Your Body

1 Corinthians 6:12-20

If you are to please God with your body, then you must...

  1. Learn to exercise freedom in a righteous manner.
  2. Understand that God has a plan for your body.
  3. Understand the serious nature of sexual sin and take precautions.
  4. Embrace God's ownership of your body and commit to use it for His glory.
