The Prince of Peace
(Jesus Was Born)

Bible Story Summary:

  • Jesus was born as God promised.

  • Angels appeared to shepherds and told them the promised Messiah was born.

  • The shepherds found Baby Jesus and told others about Him.

  • Jesus brings peace between God and people.

Jesus was born! This was very good news! Jesus was not like other babies. Jesus is God’s Son. God sent Jesus to earth from heaven. Jesus came into the world to bring peace between people and God.

Is there anything God cannot do? God can do all things.

  • How did Jesus bring peace between God and people?

Family Activities:

  • Read Isaiah 9 together as a family. Pray, thanking God for sending Jesus to be the forever king.

  • Purchase or donate gently used baby blankets, clothes, or toys to a pregnancy crisis center or women and children’s shelter.


Younger Kids

Family Activity:
Take your family Christmas caroling. Spend some time learning additional verses to a few classic carols. Focus on songs that teach the whole gospel, such as “Hark, the Herald Angel Sings” or “The First Noel.” Use this time to share the good news with others.
