Fear gives way
(Jesus’ Crucifixion and resurrection)

The most important thing that ever happened is that Jesus died and was raised from the dead. Jesus is alive! When we trust in Jesus, we do not need to fear. Jesus brings forgiveness and life with God forever.

How can we glorify God? We can glorify God by loving Him and obeying Him.

  • Why is Jesus’ death and resurrection the most important thing that ever happened?

Family Activities:

  • Read 1 Corinthians 15:1-8. Play the role of detectives and talk about evidence for the resurrection.

  • Ask your church leaders if there is a family who visited on Easter that you can invite to lunch after church next week.


Younger Kids

  • Soldiers arrested Jesus even through He never did anything wrong.

  • The crowds demanded that Jesus be crucified — killed on a cross.

  • Jesus died on the cross to pay for sin and rose again to defeat death.

  • What does the Bible say we deserve for sin?

  • Why does God offer us grace?

  • How do Jesus’ death and resurrection help us be courageous?

Family Activity:

Take your kids to see an Easter pageant or work together as a family to hold one at home. Discuss why it is important that Jesus is innocent of sin and that He rose again. Talk about ways people might respond to the gospel.
